Most anti-aging serums are built around retinol. Retinol works, but it stresses the barrier, causes purging, and isn't tolerated well by sensitive or reactive skin. Many people either can't use it or give up on it.

Schaf Serum is built around bakuchiol and ectoine instead. Bakuchiol stimulates collagen and cell turnover through a different mechanism than retinol — same results, without the irritation. Ectoine works at the barrier level, reducing water loss and repairing the protective layer that most actives damage.

Vitamin C and niacinamide address brightness and tone. Peptides signal the skin to firm and smooth. Hyaluronic acid hydrates at depth without heaviness. Each ingredient has a specific job. None overlap. Nothing is there for the label.

Morning: Apply after cleansing, before moisturizer.

Evening: Use as your complete treatment step — or alone as a lightweight moisturizer in warmer weather.
