Why we skip essential oils (even the “skin-safe” ones)

Essential oils are concentrated plant compounds. They’re common sensitizers—meaning you might tolerate them today and develop reactions later. Over-40 skin is more prone to that sensitization. Essential oils can be lovely in a diffuser—less so on reactive faces. We chose EO-free + fragrance-free and built the formula around quiet, barrier-first ingredients:

• Sodium Hyaluronate for water-magnet hydration.

• Niacinamide to support the barrier and the look of even tone.

• Peptide complex (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1/-5, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) for a resilient, well-behaved feel.

• Squalane, Jojoba, Grape Seed, Sunflower for slip and softness—no heavy film.

• Shea Butter where you need extra comfort.

• Aloe + Allantoin to keep the peace.

• CoQ10 + Vitamin E for antioxidant support.

• Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate as part of a gentle preservation system.

How to use it

Morning and night after cleansing. If you’re using actives, apply moisturizer after water-based serums. Adjust the amount by area—less where you’re oily, a touch more where you’re dry.

FAQs

Will my skin purge when I switch?
Purging is tied to exfoliants/retinoids. Our moisturizer doesn’t include those. If you’re sensitive, simplify your routine for a week while you switch.

Is there a learning curve?
No 6-week “skin cycle” speech here. Most people feel comfort and calm on day one because there’s nothing there to provoke a reaction.

Can I layer it under makeup?
